Who can participate?

The World Coffee in Good Spirits Championship is open only to winners of national championships or nominees by their national bodies. They have to be either a national of the country concerned or can prove at least two years residency in the country working as a barista. The National Competitions can only be organised by a SCAE endorsed body and to qualify for the world championships the national competition must be run in accordance with these rules. If there is no national competition participants must be nominated by their national bodies.

Registration should be done until 17th of May. In case your finals are placed later, you might indicate this to the SCAE Championship Committee and register your candidates until 27th of May 2008. Please note: Later registrations will not be accepted!

Entries must be notified to the SCAE World Contest Manager (Dr. Steffen Schwarz) using the online application form. They then receive a confirmation by the SCAE World Contest Manager.

Please remember that there is an entrance fee of 100,- € for each competitor. The Chapters or endorsed bodies will automatically be invoiced from SCAE office in London as already announced to all national coordinators in January 2007.
